Travel Grants
Application for travel grants for 2023 is open.
Per year a number of travel grants is available for BSTH members having an accepted abstract for presentation at a scientific congress. Eligibility criteria are the following:
- the applicant is a BSTH member in the year of application (membership fee paid before sending the application),
- principal investigators are not eligible for BSTH Travel grants,
- the applicant provides a letter of acceptance of the submitted abstract,
- the applicant will not have been awarded a BSTH Travel grant during the same year,
- the applicant notifies the BSTH, and agrees to give up the BSTH Travel grant if he receives another Travel grant for the same congress,
- the subject of the abstract should be related to the field of thrombosis and haemostasis
Applications for scientific meetings will be considered on a case by case basis with a maximum of 500 euro for meetings within Europe and the UK and 800 euro for overseas meetings. Applications for congresses in Belgium are not eligible.
The number of travel grants for the 2023 ISTH congress in Montreal (Canada) is set at 10 (of 800 euros each).
The deadline for this application is 30 April 2023.
Application for travel grants for other scientific meetings should be done within reasonable delay after receipt of the acceptance letter. Selection of the applications is done by the President and Secretary in name of the Board of the BSTH.
Candidates need to submit:
- membership number
- copy of the abstract
- the complete and original copy of the letter of acceptance
- the name of the congress
- curriculum vitae
